Shibori results
I just love this piece! I must have a bigger one...that doesn't have that ghostish quarter.
I'm going to cut more wooden circles -- love this effect
This one was with the plastic straps.
I thought this piece would be more interesting than this.
Those are all lovely. However, my favorites are the first 3. I think the one done with straps is my absolute favorite. I've seen very little Shirbori, all done by one person and all pretty much the same. Your experiments are really GRAND! Enjoy the journey, ann
WOW! Love how your experiments work out. Do you have any recommendations for learning more about clamping fabric? Have you considered writing a book? You should.
You're having so much fun working through Rayna's book and getting great results too. My DH has a large container of those straps, I'm sure he won't miss a few. Love the green one on the bottom.
Fantastic. I especially love the last one... what size are they?
ReplyDeleteThese are great, I love the intricacy. I like the "ghostly quarter", it adds interest and movement. Nice work!
ReplyDeleteWow! Love your results!!! how did you do that?
ReplyDeleteThese are fabulous!

These are great! What fun you must have had making them.
ReplyDeleteI look forward to the next set of images, too!

ReplyDeleteThe shibori looks great! I'm getting ready to do some discharge shibori as soon as it gets a little warmer! Really, really love the "ghostly quarter"!
ReplyDeleteI think yours are the most interesting shibori I've ever seen. It makes me want to try some of my own. Great job!
ReplyDeleteNow I want to try shibori...you are such an enabler! But I love it! LOL! :)
