If you live near the Great Lakes, you know about the "Lake Effect". (Always said in awe and written with caps)
It has to do with the humid air over the unfrozen lakes causing crazy amounts of snow in winter. (Think Buffalo, New York)
"They" said on the news a couple of week ago that there would be no more 'lake effect' snow, because the lake (Lake Erie) was frozen. 'They" lied.
a) the lake was not frozen over (I drove to the shore and checked)
b) it's snowed almost every day since they said there wouldn't be any more snow.
c) and then it snowed some more.
So I've been doing a crazy amount of snow dyeing.
Hey, I couldn't get out of the driveway for a week -- what's a girl to do?
I've snow-dyed over 150 yards since the first of the year and I'm out of pfd fabric.
So, until I get more fabric to dye, I'm going to do a give-away.
Go to the New Fabric page (see the tabs at the top of the page ), leave a comment here, by Friday, telling me the number of your favorite piece and you will be in a drawing to win it.
Please make sure that I can reach you -- the last time I did this, I never could get a hold of one of the winners and had to draw another name.

150 yards of snow dyed fabrics - wow!!!
I hope you are going to show pictures of them....I need to find some bins to do some of my own.
We have lots of snow and ice, along with 50 km winds here in SW Saskatchewan.
If I am lucky enough to win any of your beautiful fabric I would like to win #100. I did snow dyeing last year. Your techniques and results make me want to try it again. Diana in Worthington, OH. diana.angus8@gmail.com
I'm having a hard time choosing. They are all so gorgeous. If you choose me I'd love to have you pick one of your favorites. I'm curious. Are you having fabric withdrawals yet? I usually start to get jittery when I get below 100 yards.
I love #83. It looks like the center of some exotic fruit.

I'd be ever so delighted to win #102... BTW the snow dyed mandalas are terrific
They're all so beautiful. IF you draw my name, I'll go for #76.
Trying again - not sure it got my email address: lois@nightstitcher.com. I love them all but would like #76 if I win. Thanks.
So many beautiful fabrics, Gisela! Glad you're having a good time. Difficult to choose, but how about #65. Thanks for counting me in.
Gisela, the folded pieces are wonderful! These just keep getting better and better. My new fave is number 112. I'm so glad you've been inundated with snow this year!
Hard to pick a favorite out of all that eye candy! But it's a toss up between #7 and #112. Thanks for sharing
#7 works for me. What gorgeous, gorgeous fabric! Almost makes me wish it would snow again here (almost). Thanks so much for sharing and for the give-away. It's definitely eye candy!
I love #9! We have had alot of snow here in northern Ohio this year. I am sick of it too but not because I haven't been having as much fun as you with the snow dyeing!! Karen in Perrysburg, OH.

HI Gisela... love the snow dyeing, I work on silk and not nearly at the massive capacity that you are. 150 yards is mind boggling.... but these are beautiful.
You can see more about me at dkoppisch.com or my blog notes from 207
Hi Giesla,
I thought I left a comment yesterday. However, since it is not here, I'm commenting again. I would LOVE to have some of your GORGEOUS fabric. Can't believe you dyed 150 yards.
I'm trying to read my notes. I looked at ALL of the pieces. My favorites are #83 followed by #26, #34, #41, #55, #62, #65, #69 and #76. So you see IF I had the $$, I would buy your fabric in a second.
I did a little gaspy when I saw #51 so that's my vote.
You know, every time I see huge piles of snow I think to myself, "Gislea would have a good time with that!" :)
WOW!! How Gorgeous!! If my name gets picked, I'd love #7, or any of the following... 41,44,73,101,110
I have the snow, but don't care to play with it..
What lovely fabric!!! How can you pick just one? I would love the chance to win #88. Thanks!
I would love some snow diyed fabric. Last year I had a winter of snow, and luckily we don't ahve it this year.
In fact, i would trade.....

I live #23 - wonderful colors and pattern. I am currently in California, and enjoying shirtsleeve walking weather. However I lived most of my life in Michigan and Wisconsin. Ludington, on the Lake Michigan coast was especially hard hit by Lake Effect snow. I've been reading the posts on dyers list about snow dyed fabrics - looks like I'll need to make a trip home next winter and give it a try.
Wow! What an impressive array of fabric. If I am lucky enough to win I pick #67. Just love it!

salam kenal, I am from Indonesia,
I think your fabric is very nice,
we also have a traditional cloth that is good enough to use as your clothing material
