This batch was mostly Kona cotton, most are a yard or larger. I'm really getting sucked into doing these pieces. They really look three-dimensional. Like you could reach right in. It's just amazing to me.

Your enthusiasm for snow dyeing really makes me want to try it. I smiled as I scrolled from piece to piece. I also love your photography of the birds.
Gisela, your snow dying is fab! I just tried the plastic tub method and found the results beautiful but without the crisp edges and designs you received when letting the snow drip through the screen. You are quite right about the 3-D effect. It shines through even on the internet.

Absolutely gorgeous! I can't wait for mine to finish. I did it this morning and the snow still has not totally melted. Guess I'll have to wait until morning to wash it out and see what I get.
Okay, I had deleted all the messages with "snow dyeing," in the title. I was sick to death of these messages and never looked at any results. Now I wish I had looked before and knew what to do! Your results are fantastic!

Like everyone else, I just wanted to say how FABULOUS these are! SIgh, I live in Southern CA, so no snow dyeing for me!
FABULOUS! I decided I was into too many things so I didn't try the snow dying. If I got anything close to what you got with the crystals of color, I'm afraid I would be hooked. Those fabrics are just too too gorgeous.
Put them on top of a sandwich and just stitch away. I am totally amazed at your results.
They are gorgeous. And you know you can even do snowdyeing in summer. I bought a snow cone machine just for this purpose :-)

I still don't know what I'll be doing with this fabric -- too many ideas right now.
